WE HAVE BEEN OVERWHELMED BY THE SUPPORT AND SPIRIT OF GIVING SHOWN BY OUR COLLEAGUES OVER THE LAST FEW MONTHS WHILE THE UK WENT THROUGH SUCH AN UNEXPECTED PERIOD. THROUGH THE MOTIVATION OF OUR TEAMS, WE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO OFFER OUR LOCAL AND NATIONAL COMMUNITIES MANY NEW WAYS TO SUPPORT, WITH MANY COLLEAGUES SHARING THEIR BRILLIANT IDEAS ACROSS THE BUSINESS ON HOW WE CAN ALL DO OUR BIT TO HELP OTHERS.
During the temporary closure of our stores, many of our teams organised Facebook groups to stay connected with their local communities, and find ways to help people nearby, whether that meant offering a friendly phone call or picking up some shopping. Our stores reopened not long after, but these groups have continued to grow and be a source of support and conversations.
